Cooperstown Fundraisers
Each summer, two teams of 12 year old Toluca players head to New York to participate in a week-long baseball tournament in the hometown of the Baseball Hall of Fame. While the league helps administer this annual activity, the cost is borne by the players’ families. In order to offset the not insignificant expense, fundraisers of all types are created by the families. The following are the current, fundraising activities:
TITANS:
Opening Day Ceremony Raffle: Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Prizes include a Tiffany Green Amethyst necklace, Dodger tickets and dinner at Miceli’s.
Silent Auction and Cocktails: On Saturday, May 1st, the 12U Titans will host a Cooperstown Fundraiser Gala at Lakeside Country Club at 7:00PM. The special night will feature a silent auction, dinner, drinks, entertainment including music by DeeJay JD and a very special performance by Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn co-authors of their hilarious and moving memoir “You say tomato, I say shut up: a love story” Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. contact Michelle Gorham for more information and tickets: 323-481-3536
THUNDER:
Opening Day BBQ: The 12U Thunder team will be selling bbq lunch at the this year’s opening day ceremonies. All net proceeds will benefit the team. Please plan to have lunch at the park on Opening Day and help the Thunder team make their way to Cooperstown.
Bob’s Big Boy fundraiser. Throughout the Spring Season on particular days, Bob’s Big Boy will donate 15% of your order to the 2010 Thunder Team. You must bring the flyer. The dates are: MARCH 11th & 25th APRIL 8th & 22nd, MAY 13th & 27th, JUNE 10th & 24th between 5:00P and 8:00P
