Fall Registration OPEN ONLINE NOW

Fall Registration is now open. Follow the Sign Up to Play link now and take advantage of the $50 early registration discount. The fall program is limited to about 1/2 of the Spring program.  Many divisions will sell out. Guaranty your spot by registering today.

Toluca’s Fall program runs from September 12th through November 21st.  This year we will offer programs from Fours through Pony (4-15 years old).  As always, players “League Age” is determined as of 4/30/2010.

Also, we are planning a very different Pony program this Fall. This year we will offer a training camp style program utilizing a professional coaching staff. The program will feature twice weekly, weekday workouts coupled with a weekend inter-squad double-header. This program is designed to prepare the 13-15 year old player for their high school tryout. The details of this program are being finalized and registration is not yet open.  If you are interested in this program please email the league at toluca.email@earthlink.net

Post Season Tournament

The Toluca Baseball Tournament began for the Pinto through Pony divisions Saturday, May 30th.  The tournaments are scheduled as follows:

Pinto 7
Pinto 8
Mustang
Bronco

Championship games will be played on Closing Day, June 6th.  Closing ceremonies will follow the championship games.

Closing Day Ceremonies - Saturday 6/6

Closing Day Ceremonies will take place Saturday, June 6th at South Weddington Park from 12-3. Ceremonies will include the presentation of trophies (for every player from the Fours through Pinto and for the division winners and runners-up for Mustang through Pony), distribution of year books, BBQ lunch, a coaches’ hard ball game, a rock climbing wall, water balloon battle and a radar pitch speed booth.  As always, please park in the MTA lot and walk to the field.

Toluca Baseball Needs You

Closing Day will also serve as the League’s Annual Membership Meeting. Board Elections will be held as well.  Toluca Baseball is an all volunteer organization. Board members provide the bulk of the labor necessary to operate the league. If you are interested in serving on the board and taking on an active administrative role within the league, submit your name for nomination to toluca.email@earthlink.net All league members in good standing are eligible for nomination.  Deadline for nominations is Thursday, June 4th.

Attn: 12 Year Olds -Cooperstown Tournament

Each summer, Toluca Baseball organizes two teams of 12 year-old players to travel to Cooperstown, New York to play in a week long tournament with 95 other teams from all across the nation. One team is full, but there are openings on the other. Email the league for more information.

Parent Code of Conduct

Winning and losing are a part of baseball and can hold valuable life lessons for our children.  However, as parents, it is our responsibility to lead our children by example.  There is no room at Toluca Baseball for anyone to behave in any manner that does not express class, dignity and good sportsmanship. Please review the league’s Code of Conduct so as to be familiar with the particular expectations of Toluca Baseball Parents.

Remember, your children are watching.

Water Watch

Toluca Baseball has begun a serious effort to increase the efficiency of the irrigation systems on all of the baseball fields. The irrigation controllers are being updated, watering times minimized and sprinkler heads are being adjusted. Toluca Baseball, a competitive youth baseball league, founded in 1952, is the oldest youth baseball league in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley region. Toluca Baseball, affiliated with PONY baseball, offers a Spring and a Fall season for children from 5 to 14 years old.
